Hello and sorry for this newbie post.

I'm working in a project to make a Windows Explorer Namespace Extension that
will allow users to manipulate files (either local or remote) in a special way,
and it needs to be pretty transparent to users and applications. In that
spirit, we think that something that emulates an SMB server running in
localhost is a solution that can cope with our requirements.

Now the questions:
1. Is it possible to run an SMB server in localhost in a Windows machine (does
anybody tried this before?) ?
2. Wich section of Samba source we need to see to guide us in the
implementation of a simple (only file sharing) SMB server?

Any help will be very appreciatted. Many thanks!
Pablo
