smbpasswd -j ... -Uuser%pass

[MCCALL,DON (HP-USA,ex1)]

Even now that we know,
we should probably not just reset it, but 
post a message to the runner of smbpasswd to 
verify that he wants to 'reuse' the account,
just in case he misspelled the name, or something,
and is about to screw up someone ELSE's machine
account...
