winbind and windows 2000

Hi,

  Sorry if this is a FAQ but I could not find it in the mailing list. I'm
finally playing with winbind but I can only get it to partially
work. 

Samba 2.2.2 on RedHat 7.1

the machine successfully joins the domain and
wbinfo -t works.

wbinfo -m returns nothing

wbinfo -n greg returns a SID

wbinfo -r greg returns an error

wbinfo -u gives "Error looking up domain users "

as does wbinfo -g

our PDC is Windows 2K and I have used Tim's "net localgroup ...." hack to
give everyone access to the group list.


So it looks like I get some communication with the PDC but something is
still not kosher.

Any ideas?
