delete on close problem

We setup a test scenario as you requested using a copy of W2K server. The
w2k->w2k file save worked fine using the same client that fails for
current Samba CVS with oplocks on. In both the w2k->w2k and
w2k->no_oplock_samba, I see a transact2 call and a file delete immediately
following the close which allows the succeeding open to happen.
Effectively w2k->w2k works but w2k->samba_with_oplocks fails. Since the
problem might be related to something outside of the immediate sequence
we've been browsing, I've stuck a gzipped tar on the web with three log
files for your review.  At
http://www.bridgewater.edu/~scott/tmp_files.tar.gz you'll find the samba
debug files and the text output of netmon for w2k->w2k. Specifically, the
tar file includes

log.samba_with_oplocks
log.samba_without_oplocks
w2k_netmon.capture.txt

I hope that this gives you a clue as to what's wrong.
