Failed to find entry for user guest. & Failed to change password entry for guest

Hi

I am installing  samba from samba.org
while adding user it is giving some error like

Failed to find entry for user guest.
Failed to change password entry for guest

after getting this error , I am able to see entries in
usr/local/samba/lib/users.map
/usr/local/samba/private/smbpasswd

see  the info below for calrity:

what could be the problem... can anybody suggest me inthis regard...

[root at Natesh source]# ./smbadduser guest:ntguest

Adding: {guest = ntguest} to /usr/local/samba/lib/users.map

Retype new SMB password:
Failed to find entry for user guest.
Failed to change password entry for guest

[root at Natesh source]# vi /usr/local/samba/lib/users.map
guest = ntguest

[root at Natesh source]# vi /usr/local/samba/private/smbpasswd
guest:500:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:
