Yes please !ASAP !!! Either a debug level 10 log, or a stack backtrace
from gdb. To get this set the following in your smb.conf :

panic action = /usr/bin/X11/xterm -display :0.0 -e gdb /usr/local/samba/bin/smbd %d

and type xhost + on your X session before running samba.
