smb panic with win2k+sp2

I've been trying over the last week or so to get Win2K + SP2 to join a
samba domain. Win2K itself is fine but with Service Pack 2 loaded it fails
with the "Procedure out of Range" error. However, with the cvs version
(tag Samba2_2) as of yesterday the error in the samba log changed to:

Please let me know if it would be useful for you to have a more
detailed log of this. I'm testing samba as a PDC on FreeBSD4.3-Stable.
I've been keeping a hopeful eye on the samba-cvs mailing list.
