Which branch to use to get winbind

Hi,
We are using recent samba 2.2.0 cvs snapshots along with winbindd from an
aging snapshot of samba-appliance. It seems that these two don't play
together correctly anymore (see earlier posts by Cary Dickens for details)
so we were gonna grab the latest winbindd. I thought I had read that
samba-appliance is no longer the current home of "stable" winbindd, so I'm
asking which branch is (samba-tng? HEAD? 2.2?)
