printing problem with old apps

Hi,

I have some problem to print on samba shared printer with very old
clients. The windows print ok, but the dos-based applications don't:
the jobs get to the samba spool, and sitting there forever...

I remember similar a problem from the old days of netware 3.x, but I don't
know the solution with samba.
