Unfortunately I do not have a running LINUX system of the proper vintage
to run the info program on.

However it is not too bad to read the info source files, so I will look
there.

I have almost all of SAMBA 2.2.0 compiling and linking now on OpenVMS,
even though more work will be needed to get something that runs.

Is anyone interested in the diagnostics that the Compaq C compiler
produces when warnings are enabled at a high level?

This compiler is used on Tru-64 Unix, LINUX on Alpha, in addition to
OpenVMS.
