Win2k joining Samba PDC (tried all other posts)

Hi,
Do you have the latest CVS 2.2 branch? What worked for me was removing
everything samba from my system (except a back up of my smb.conf) and
starting with a fresh CVS
Then I would remove your entries in for the computer account from /passwd as
the script will make entries in both password files for you. I was confused
on this at first aslo, and I am not sure if it really makes a difference or
not, but it's how I got mine to work. If you read my earlier post I went
step by step on how i finaly got mine working. If that doesn't help I don't
know what to say.
I can tell you that my sp2 machine takes 3 or 4 times of receiving that
error before it will join the domain. I have replicated it twice now. So you
may just try to keep joining a few times and it may work.
I wish I could give you a silver bullet but I don't think anyone knows what
it is yet.
Erik Peirson
p.s. are the quotes needed in your add user script?
