Thanks for your replies.

I'm not sure if you are disagreeing or not.  Can you give an example of
circumstances where two different vusers will access the same tid.  I
suppose we have to distinguish between cases where the vusers refer to the
same user and those where they do not.

Yes. This is something NT/W2K does a lot.
