connections.tdb

      Hello  Friends


         Can  anyone  tell  me  what  is  the  function  of  file
"connections.tdb"  under  the  directory
         "/usr/local/samba/var/locks".


          The  reason  I  am  asking  this  questions  is  that  on one  of
my  HPUX  servers this  file  grows  very  
           quickly   until  the  whole /usr/local  file  system  gets
filled  up.

           Is  there  any  patch  OR  fix  to  this  problem.  

          The  OS  is  HPUX 10.20.  The  samba  version  is  2.2.1a.
