looking for kernel oplock support specification

I just looked in the Samba sourc tarball, and did a search of this
mailing list on the web, and couldn't find any documentation of the
kernel oplock stuff other than a short descriptive blurb in
File-Cacheing.txt, and the source code in oplock.c. Is there a more
detailed document somewhere? (something good enough to be used in
adding kernel oplock cupport into another OS)?

File-Cacheing.txt says there are plans to put this into FreeBSD;
anybody know who is doing (is planning to do? was planning to do?)
that work? I'm actually more interested in putting it into NetBSD, but
if there is code for FreeBSD around, that might help too.
