Smbmount broken?

Hi

So, I decided to try out 3.0alpha8. It appears that smbmount is broken. :(
When I mount a share, it appears to mount properly, but when I try to
list the files in that directory, nothing appears. When I run mount without
args, it says that it is mounted. Oh yeah - smbmount works as expected in
2.2.2, but not HEAD/3.0alpha8.

Here's some output that might help:
With 3.0alpha8
[root at lab104no17 mnt]# smbmount //student_server/users /mnt/temp/ -o
username=vance
Password:
[root at lab104no17 mnt]# ls /mnt/temp/
[root at lab104no17 mnt]# mount
/dev/hda1 on / type xfs (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
/dev/hda3 on /home type xfs (rw)
none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw)
//student_server/users on /mnt/temp type smbfs (0)
[root at lab104no17 mnt]#

With 2.2.2:
[root at lab104no17 mnt]# smbmount //student_server/users /mnt/temp/ -o
username=vance
Password:
[root at lab104no17 mnt]# ls /mnt/temp/
2790  3501  3741  3941  4143  4277  4442  4569  4713  4845  5181
[root at lab104no17 mnt]# mount
/dev/hda1 on / type xfs (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
/dev/hda3 on /home type xfs (rw)
none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw)
//student_server/users on /mnt/temp type smbfs (0)
[root at lab104no17 mnt]#

Also, while trying to see what was going wrong, I stumbled across another
oddity. I am able to mount a share more than once to the same place, and it
still works. When I mount a different share to the same place at the same
time, that directory disappears from the filesystem. As soon as I unmount the
different share, I am able to access the mount point again, with the first
share's data.

If you need anymore information on this, I'd be more than willing to help

Vance.
