using libsmbclient to access remote hosts

Can you do the same thing from Windows?  It is common for firewalls to
block netbios packets so that Windows clients don't send their
(sometimes plaintext) passwords to remote hosts as a result of html tags
like <img src="file://a.badhost.com/blah.gif">.
