samba 2.2.2 - sending messages to users - not working

Hi,
As in subject.
Using smbclient I can send a message when I give computer name, but when I 
give user name it doesn't work.
Using windows and "net send" command it works both for computer and users.
Is it expected to work in future 2.2.x or 3.x?
Anyway it is better (in past when I was logged into domain I wasn't able 
to send messages from windows, it worked only as a local user, now is ok).
