SAMBA and Microsoft

Good Morning All,
  I have a question about rights, when I'm copying files from a
NT-filesystem to a Unix-filesystem over Samba. Will the rights for the files
be copied to Unix ? I mean, If the user Marian can only do a read on file
banana  under NT, will this be so under Unix ?
