Hi Claus,
Can you send me your connections.tdb, along with the log.nmbd and log.smbd
where you are seeing these errors.
And also your smb.conf? If you have the netbios name of the machine that
you think is causing the issue, this would be good to know as well.
Thanks,
Don

Subject: Corruption in connection database, Samba 2.2.1

Hi,

We have now been running Samba 2.2.1 at our HP-UX 11.00 system for
several weeks. We have retrieved the latest CVS version (Tuesday August
22nd) and compiled that. There should be some corrections in this
version especially for the HP system and the mmap function (smb.conf
parameter "use mmap = No"). We though still get errors in the connection
database, as:

fog:/users/csvarer 22 : smbstatus | more
INFO: Debug class all level = 1 (pid 843 from pid 843)
tdb(/usr/local/samba/var/locks/connections.tdb): rec_read bad magic
0x42424242 at offset=5656

Does anyone have an idea of what happens. We believe it has something to
do with a user doing a domain logon at a Windows2000 client which
authorizes against the Samba server used as a Domain Controller.

Hope someone have a solution for this problem because it is quite
annoying

Best regards
Claus Svarer
