Thought I would repost regarding this "delete veto files" bug. I have now
encountered it in both "security=share" and "security=user". I've also
tried

   veto files = /ABC/
   delete veto files = yes

which also crashes smbd

I get the following in my smb.log at debug level 0

[2001/08/15 17:50:27, 0] lib/fault.c:fault_report(40)
  ===============================================================
[2001/08/15 17:50:27, 0] lib/fault.c:fault_report(41)
  INTERNAL ERROR: Signal 11 in pid 15453 (2.2.1a)
  Please read the file BUGS.txt in the distribution
[2001/08/15 17:50:27, 0] lib/fault.c:fault_report(43)
  ===============================================================
[2001/08/15 17:50:27, 0] lib/util.c:smb_panic(1101)
  PANIC: internal error

Can somebody please confirm whether this is a bug and if so a known bug?

I have also tried today's CVS build and it also suffers from this bug.

Thanks

Eddie
