Office 97 apps seem to be broken again

Anyone else noticed that Office 97 apps can't save on file shares
served by the latest SAMBA_2_2 cvs code?  Windows 2000 SP2
client.  Was working fine a week ago I'm sure.  Notepad
saves fine.....
