problems with samba 2.2.1a on Solaris8

Hello,

i got the samba binaries from samba.org (version 2.2.1a) and installed
it on a sun e3500 with solaris8 running (newest sun patches included).
after starting nmbd the machine get problems with the network
interface. it seems that the nmbd process locks the interface in
certain intervals so that the machine isn't reachable at this moment
for ping, ftp, telnet ... . i used the interfaces, max xmit, dns proxy
parameter but it doesn't matter. the nmbd.log says nothing.
