Printing from Win98

Using the HEAD build, printing under Windows 98 does not work.( I do not
know if it works on 95 or NT). Windows 98 reports write errors and
takes the spooling system offline. I must reboot before I can print
again.

If I revert back to release 2.0.6 the printer works fine (after I have
rebooted)

Is this a known problem and is there a way to fix this.
