Filesystem question

I'm running Samba on a none multiuser filesystem.

Yet, when I access it from windows clients, every time I select a file; I
notice heavy disk access.
Are there parameters to tell Samba no to give "last updated", security
information etc ?
I guess this might be a explorer/windows issue, anyone know any reg hacks or
like ?

Any thoughts, or I'm I lost again ?
