NMBD process cannot restart

Your smb.conf could come handy.
 
I think you should have a close look at:
 
"ERROR: both 'wins support = true' and 'wins server = <server>' cannot "
 
Go over your smb.conf file and try comment your our WISN server settings
entries.
Then se if it works.

HI thanks for the reply...here are the details that you required. 

- OS is Solaris 8 (5.8) 
- Client running window NT4 with SP6 
- Restart nmbd using the "swat", through the webpage(port 901). It keep on
showing "not running". The entries also exist in inetd.conf file. 
- Here is the last few logs in "log.nmb" file : 
mysolaris# tail log.nmb 
[2000/10/03 08:13:58, 1] nmbd/nmbd.c:main(684) 
  Netbios nameserver version 2.0.5a started. 
  Copyright Andrew Tridgell 1994-1998 
[2000/10/03 08:13:58, 0] nmbd/nmbd.c:reload_services(225) 
  ERROR: both 'wins support = true' and 'wins server = <server>' cannot 
be set in the smb.conf file. nmbd aborting. 
[2000/10/03 08:13:59, 1] nmbd/nmbd.c:main(684) 
  Netbios nameserver version 2.0.5a started. 
  Copyright Andrew Tridgell 1994-1998 
[2000/10/03 08:13:59, 0] nmbd/nmbd.c:reload_services(225)

What os do you run ? 
What do the logs say ? 
What version do NT run ? 


How do you restart nmbd ?
