samba server fails connection cause of memory problems

Hi,

I am running samba 2.0.7 on a linux box (kernel 2.2.14 / SuSE 6.4),
but i cannot connect to this server. Here the error messages. The
connection fails, because there is not enough memory for a buffer.

What can I do to get samba working?

error messages ( the samba server runs on ezra ):

root at shadrach:/ > smbclient -L ezra
added interface ip=192.168.0.2 bcast=192.168.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
session request to EZRA failed (code 0)
session request to *SMBSERVER failed (code 0)         

root at ezra:~ > smbclient -L ezra
added interface ip=192.168.0.1 bcast=192.168.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
added interface ip=193.159.12.187 bcast=193.159.12.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
error connecting to 192.168.0.1:139 (Kein Hauptspeicher für den Puffer verfügbar)
Connection to ezra failed
