This is untested, but....

HKEY_LOCAL_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\[Run|Run
Once|Run Services|Run Services Once]

The entries in here are just strings which are run executed when the box
starts (It's after DHCP, but before login). You could try having a "net
use" type thing in there, but it would probably complain that you
weren't logged in.

Good luck. Short of installing Unix, I'm not sure what you can do ;-).
