Problems authenticating with 2.0.7 vs Windows 2000

The problems we've been having with authentication to the Windows 2000 User domain
has been directly linked to the "SID History"  functionality where a user and all
global groups have both a new SID for the WIndows 2000 domain PLUS a SID for an old
NT 4.0 domain that the users and groups were migrated from.

The problem seems to have two parts:

1) Samba isn't really happy with the SID history for some reason.

2) Samba chokes trying to authenticate a user when the user has  80+ SID's associated
with their account.  ( We don't know what the threshold is yet)
