Porting to RTOS

I'm new to Samba  and had a couple of questions.

 I'm porting portions of the Samba source to RTOS.
1. I wanted to know from the experts out there if any one had done any
porting  to RTOS(VxWorks/PSOS)
2. Also, since there are a lot of programs in SAMBA suite, to just do file
sharing among computers belonging to a particular workgroup, what programs
need to be ported. My thought is  Porting SMBD and SMBCLIENT should be
sufficient. Am I correct in thinking so or is there more to it than just
these programs and their corresponding files..

Any suggestions will be helpful
