If the coffee table is solid, it can double as an entertainment center.  :)

What I mean is, if the basic unit is strong enough, people will find quite a
few ways to use it.  A lot of things have been added on a similar basis
(someone finds a need, creates a patch and others find the use of the
software solves a problem they are having, so the patch gets integrated),
most things can be turned off, it's just a matter of having the options
available.
