multiple interfaces on a single subnet?

Greetings,

I am wanting to implement multiple interfaces on a single subnet.  Will this
work?

IF it is possible I am assuming that I wil have to use something like:

interfaces = 172.16.0.9/16
bind interfaces only = yes


Would it be possible to offer shares by interface to balance the loads?


Thoughts welcome.
