you'll have to track the samba archives, there are some nasty little
gotchas apparently.

oh, and if you send me logs, _please_ take out the stupid timestamps,
they're such a nuisance to read the logfiles clearlyi actually modified
tng's default for "debug timestamps" to "no".

i got fed up odoing grep -v "\[2000".
