SYSKEY, TNG freeze, 2.0.x->TNG merge and other thoughts

Well for anyone else who doesn't know what SYSKEY is a short surfing
session is required.  Potted version: it's a technique for increasing
the security of SAM information in the Windows registry by using a
128-bit encryption key either stored on the local machine, floppy
disk, or entered at startup.
