My thoughts exactly.  There is space (in the sense of namespace) for the
overloading that has been proposed.

Oh, and the term 'nmb' is a Samba-ism.  It would nbns:// for the name 
service but that would also not be accurate for browsing.  Perhaps 
nbbs:// ?
