Samba problem - 2.0.6 on SCO OS 5.0.5

I feel like you hit the maximum number of files open and something else
got also broken when samba was not able to open more files.
If you have many users check the number of files samba is able to open,
normally samba ask for 10000 files, but many OS sets 1024 per
process/user by default.
set them with ulimit!
