problem with make for TNG

Hello,
After successfully getting ./configure to run. make dies at this line:

Compiling rpc_client/cli_login.c with libtool
In file included from rpc_client/cli_login.c:23:
include/includes.h:831: conflicting types for `filename_completion_function'
/usr/include/readline/readline.h:391: previous declaration of
`filename_completion_function'
*** Error code 1

Anyone know why and how to get this up and running?
