swat...status will not show start stop

Hello Samba 
I have had samba for a while. Since ugrading from about 1.9 or 2.0 my swat 
does not show in the status, the smbd start and stop sam with nmbd. I just 
installed 2.0.6 and before doing the install, I rm -rf /usr/local/samba/bin/swat 
to be sure swat was gone.

But even with that, and installing it, I get the same result. There is no button 
to stop and restart nmbd and smbd.

Any one have a clue why this is happening?
