I have a merge of the sept, 27th code of both branches. The merge is done,
I'm fixing the code to compile it.

here is the problem :-) I want a stable merge release and at the same time
all of Luke's new code. I don't want to see yet another samba branch in
the cvs repository. Merging 2 versions and storing it in a new branch is a
complete non-sense.

That's what I'm doing right now.

there are still *many* technical issues to resolve before using the merge
as a base for the next samba version.
