Bad CVS archive docs

The instructions for CVS access to Samba appear to be out of date.  When I
follow them
I get a 2.0.0 alpha version.  If I use the WWW interface to CVS I see
another version.  The README file says it is "Samba 2.0.X".

Can anyone shed any light on this?
