Yes - Domain Master Browser - too much of this terminology is getting the
keywords in the right order :-(.

One other oddity perhaps - the older one (1.9.16p10) will respond to queries
without the -R flag from nmblookup.

So it is upset by netbios name -> multiple addresses?

Another question - I notice that the WINS server runs 2 nmbd daemons - one I
believe is to do the DNS lookups - and 2ce I have had it disappear - the only
sign from syslogs has been - no visible core files:
Mar 3 19:11:09 olya.brunel.ac.uk nmbd[22224]: Got SIGPIPE
Mar 3 19:11:09 olya.brunel.ac.uk nmbd[22224]: sync_browse_lists: Failed to
star
t browse sync with NIKOS
I am running Solaris 2.5.1. Am I unusual in using Samba as a WINS server? I
am a little disappointed that I am encountering these troubles moving from
1.9.16p10 to 1.9.18p10.
