automount and windows explorer

Hello all,

I am getting a rather strange behavior when trying use automount with
samba. I have a solaris 2.6 box running samba 2.0.4b. It automounts home
directory from all over the place, and we have about ~100s for home
directories. As most of you know, with Solaris 2.6, the direcotries that
are "automountable" can be seen when an user does an "ls" in the parent
dir. In other words: if i had auto.home with 300 home dirs to be
mounted under /home/<username>, and if i were to do an "ls" under
/home, on a solaris 2.6, i would be able to see all this possible mount
points. That part works okay. Now, what i am trying to do is have these
home directories appear as a share on the NT side. I would like to do
something like this:

[homes]
  guest ok = no
  read only = no
  path = /home

So, that when a user logs in, he is locked to /home. What i expected is
to get a list (and ONLY a list) of "auto-mountable" directories (which
would be mounted upon double clicking the directory in windows explorer).
However, it appears as if windows explorer is scanning sub-directories and
it start mounting all 300 mount points. What is needed is to be able to
see the data, do the mount only upon request.

I was hoping the new feature of automount under solaris 2.6 would help to
be able to "list" the directories in explorer.

Any comments, suggestions? I would appriciate input from others who have
worked with a combination of samba and automount. thank you.
