	I noticed that samba defines a whole lot of wrappers around
standard C stuff to accomodate for differences between platforms.  Are you
aware of any functions that are used to traverse a pathname backwards like
needs to be done?  I'm not seeing any offhand, but I have to imagine this
is done elseware in the source.
