I finally woke up :)

Jeremy and I then started looking at a bug that I had worked around
for the preX releases but that we hadn't properly fixed. We finally
cracked the bug about an hour ago (it was an uninitialised string
variable). The strange thing is that the bug pointed out that
something in wrong in the logic in mask_match(), the code just
shouldn't have worked. We want to understand that before 2.0.5. So
we've delayed 2.0.5 till tomorrow while we investigate.
