what did you have in mind?  i would LOVE to see a full NetBIOS socket api
in linux, it would make our job somewhat easier (although it would make
samba slightly slower if implemented badly!)

if you are talking about porting samba to single-process multi-thread
thennot a snowball in hell's chance.  sorry.

kernel level support for SIDs (similar to kerberos support) hidden behind
uid redirection tables would be great.
