Yes. This is exactly the point. It is the same reason that Andrew
decided not to use your daemon scheme for the RPC code. It is *too
complicated*.

I'm happy to make it a .so loadable mechanism, that way you
can do whatever you want, and I won't have to support/document/
maintain it.
