I'll just mention, once again, that this points up the importance of a
modular CIFS suite implementation under GPL.  Something that can be built
up in pieces for a specific need; bits replaced without too much
difficulty if necessary.

In jCIFS we are working toward a model that will work for embedded
systems.  Having such code available in C would also be a good thing.
