Microsoft cooperating with the Samba Team?

Well, sort of :-). Microsoft tech support people are
only human and want to run Linux themselves (would *you*
run Win2K unless you *had* to :-), and the only way they
can interoperate in the Microsoft campus is to run Samba
on their Linux boxes.

So we have had a questions w.r.t. Samba working with
Win2K from Microsoft, and Matt added a fix to 2.0.5 for
Win2k browsing, and I added some code to the NT SMB
directory handling to address some of these issues.

So it's not "official" - but I must confess I'd rather
deal individually with Microsoft tech support and engineers
rather than have an "official" channel anyway. People 
are usually much nicer when they're not representing
"the company line" :-).
