help: Information on Browsing Protocol

Hi!

I'm trying to write a minimal SMB client for use in an embedded system and I
need to find more information on the "browsing protocol" in a Windows
network.  I've got the SMB/CIFS documents from the Microsoft-sponsored CIFS
website.  But I can't find anything that discusses the protocols for
browsing hosts in a network.

Any help regarding where I can find more info on this would be much
appreciated.
