Performance issues with Samba under Digital UNIX

Hi,

I am following up with a guy from Canada who is having performance problems
under DU on an Alpha box.  I forwarded his mail a few days ago.

Well, memory is not a problem, he has 4.0 GB of memory on his machine, and
is running 1.9.18p10, and claims to have compiled FAST_SHARE_MODES in, but
I am following up on this issue.

With 300 clients on the one machine, it is important to make sure that
Samba works well in such environments.

I have asked how many and what type of interfaces.

What else can we use to investigate the performance?

Can/should we run netbench?  How can we determine where the bottlenecks are?
