can we create the convention which, based on ftp's .netrc, ssh's security
system and win95's password cacheing does the following:

1) create a ~/.smb directory

2) chmods it to 700

3) stores a clear-text file (name tbd - .smbrc?) format similar to .netrc
(or identical) with entries line:
\\server\share username password [domain]
\\server\share username LM#/NT# [domain]
\\ip.add.re.ss\share username password [domain]

password field can be either clear-text _or_ in the format of a hex-dump
LM and/or NT hash, which we auto-detect
